Snap!!!

A bit of a drab morning, with intermittent showers, no sunshine today :-(

We went to get the Sunday papers, in the rain, so didn't have much of a walk today. We had a coffee at home whilst reading the papers.
Sausage and egg on toast for lunch.

I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen, preparing dinner, roast shoulder of pork with thyme, and crackling, of course, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, corn on the cob, broccoli, green beans and carrots and gravy.

Daughter and granddaughter Emily arrived late afternoon, with a coconut cake made by daughter, for dessert :-). Once we had finished dinner Emily wanted to play cards. This is daughter and Emily laughing with hub whilst playing Snap...........very competitive it was too! Emily is still learning how to be a gracious loser, although not easy with such a competitive Mum ;-). I think they get it from hub.....he's not a good loser either ;-)

As Emily is back to school tomorrow they were not too late heading home, with a Sunday roast plated up for daughters partner who had been beavering away at home.

Not much else to report today...........all quiet on the western front, as they say.
