Cottage Welcome

April is my all time favorite time of year. Everything is green and/or blooming, the ground is soft and easy to work from the Winter rains, the temperatures are comfortable. Ahhhh, my mind relaxes.

This Clematis is very old and isn't filling out much any more. I have not been cutting it ruthlessly back, like a friend of mind does with her lush beauty. Do I dare try it this Fall, will it come up more full?
