2016 Saturday -- Portland Water

Our adult daughter, actually our only daughter, Deidre (Deed for short), is in Portland this weekend and sent this Oregon photograph mid-afternoon looking over the Williamette River. When I responded to her text that it looked like a nice afternoon without rain, she replied a bit later to let me know they arrived back at the house just before the sky opened and the rain poured.

Back here in sunny southern California, Mr. Fun & I threw responsibility to the wind today and just had a lovely afternoon of doing nothing of accomplishment. What a delicious fun afternoon it was. I did not grade one essay.

Now it's 8:00 p.m. And the distant city lights are beginning to make holes in the on-coming darkness. We've had so much fun, we're still needing to decide if we ought to prepare dinner, but then we did not eat breakfast till 1:00 p.m.
