Plane spotting

So today we got up and we had arrived into St Maarten.

We had breakfast then me, Gem, Claire and Stu headed out to explore the Island. We all wanted to go to the beach next to the airport to see the planes landing as they go really low over the beach. It was amazing there were lots of planes coming in and also planes taking off and if you are brave enough you can hold onto the fence when the planes about to take off but it did say danger may cause death so we watched from the beach.

After that we headed to the town and met up with the others for a light lunch in Hard Rock Cafe, this turned out to be a massive lunch as the portions in there were huge!!! We then did a bit of shopping as the island is all tax free so we got a few goodies.

It was then time to get back to the ship for the next destination.

Off for a rest now before dinner tonight and a gamble in the casino!
