Shakespeare 400 and St George's Day

Today is significant in that it is both St George's Day and the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.  I would like to have risen to hildasrose's  challenge asking us to create an image representing  one of the bard's plays, but time was short and inspiration did not arrive.  Instead Tinkerbell takes centre stage, seated comfortably in the newly renovated dining room., one of the few photos I took today.
She is not perhaps the best choice for today as Shakespeare was clearly not a fan of such creatures.  they are mentioned a number of times in his plays but in far from flattering terms.

Tonight we have thoroughly enjoyed watching Shakespeare Live! from the RSC, with wonderful performances from a stellar cast, including Sir Ian McKellan and Dame Judy Dench both of whom I remember seeing many years ago as an 'A' Level student, Sir Ian in Richard III and Dame Judy as Perdita in A Winter's Tale.
Favourite play? I think it has to be Macbeth, the first that I studied in any great depth.
There are so many quotes to choose from but this is the one from the Scottish Play that resonated with my 15 year old self:

“Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
