American goldfinch
No doubt what this little guy is whatever we thought of the last bird blip!! There have been lots of them on the feeders today. They are in their full mating colors which actually seem to last all summer. I have seen them in the fall feeding on the zinnia seeds when the flowers have finished in September. I think they probably nest more than once, like the bluebirds do.
A lovely warm day today, the wind getting up in the afternoon.
