What Next? Is the Question...

Today was Food Day with K!   We haven't seen since I started with the Bum problems... but today, we felt ready.

We met at Glasgow Central Station and headed for our Reservations at Tropiero and we met by a sign on the door saying "Locks Changed, Call Alan for details".  and "This restaurant is closed with immediate effect.

We pondered for all of two seconds, and headed across the road to Picolo Mondo. Oh, Heaven.  They had a special Saturday All Inclusive Menu. Aperitif, Bottle of Wine, Starter, Main Course, Dessert,Coffee, Mints, Liqueur.  Oh my heavens we were in  food paradise.

Served by very attentive Glaswegian Italians we were entertained for upwards of two hours, until the point where we could barely move.   See my extra's for my starter, Fresh Asparagus, poached eggs, Bearnaise sauce, and pancetta. Heaven and Tiramisu....

When we left, we contemplated the Pawn brokers. and a ukulele and sexy underwear. Then we were attracted by a noise.. a loud, reverberating noise which was curiously engaging.

We approached the Waterloo Pub, the attendee's of which were being held in at the door by a massive bouncer.  We pressed our Tiramisu smeared noses against the window and found ourselves viewing the backside of a Pink Sequined beclothed pub singer, being backed by an old man sat on a stool bashing away on a keyboard.

The audience were standing no more than 3 ft from the singer, and she was giving it some laldy.  The Bouncer, now pushing the people in with his bum, told us if we turned into Waterloo Street, there was a possibility we could see the band from the front through the side windows.

He was wrong - it was so busy all we could see was loads of folk jiggling about to the music waving their pints around in the air.   Wow.  We wanted some of that, but there was no way into that pub.  Every inch was full.

A few metres up the road was another pub was in the exact same condition.

K stood amazed.  People do things on a Saturday Afternoon. I need to get off the couch, and get singing in the pubs.

We didn't do any singing today.  We headed for the station where we were going to do the Champagne Bar, but it was chockers too. So we settled for People Watching from Patisserie Valerie.  And people watch we did.  For two house.

Great Fun!
