Leeds-Liverpool Canal

Another sunny morning, so I went for a walk along the canal this morning, while my son was at his theatre group. The number of people using the canal has really increased, and there were even two narrowboats navigating their way through the locks. The water was quite high though - spilling over onto the path in places. 

It was a welcome walk. We had a fair bit of excitement last night, as the local transformer exploded. Cue bang, power out, and people rushing out into the street, followed by two fire engines a few minutes later. Power was restored after three hours, but apparently the transformer is a bit of a mess. I might go and take a look later.
