Mind the gap?

This is what happens when you don't.

But back to the beginning - started the day with a swim, first for ages, energy levels seem to be increasing. Pretty good day at work. 99% decided on Turkey for September, although I now realise I have to fly to and from London (work) and the flight gets in at 00.05. Yotel beckons!

I am doing this photography/Wiki Commons course this week-end so it was a swift trip to McDonald Road library for the 'meet and greet' session. Looks like it might be fun. Even better, the Library looks like it might be a delivery base for B&Bs.

On the way back up Leith Walk got a call from #3 son who'd managed to sprain his ankle unloading luggage from an East Coast train. One leg didn't mind the gap and the other one took his full weight. So it was off to WGH Minor Injuries (rather than RIE A&E) where there was no queue so he was seen very quickly by the Nurse Practitioner. After an X-ray he was pronounced fit to leave (unlike the poor footballer opposite who had clearly broken his wrist - ouch!) and given the usual advice of rest, paracetamol and ice. Rest - music to #3 son's ears, 2 days off work!

Now after Irn Bru, a Newcastle Crisis Skylight chocolate sugar rush bar and a Crunchie he is sitting with his foot up awaiting steak and honey mustard sauce. Oh, I love being a mum!
