Record Heat

It's a lame shot, but when the temperature is still in triple digits after 8pm, it's worth noting.

Tonight was our last swim meet of the season. You'd think the kids wouldn't mind a little swimming when the weather is so hot, but they were complaining about how warm the water was! It was also one of the quietest meets ever, as the adults were trying to stay cool in the shade and more or less waiting out the event.

I took this shot as we were leaving to go home in my car that had been parked in the shade.

For the record, Metro Detroit tied a high temp record of 101 F set in 1887. My car thermometer read as high as 106. Many local communities tied or broke records today.
