Ocean Way - Stothert & Pitt Ltd memorial

Three old rusting derelict cranes can still be seen at Leith harbour, this one was manufactured by Stothert & Pitt of Bath, who late in the 19th century developed electric powered dockside canes that soon dominated the industry and until the 1960's and the development of containerised shipping could be found in almost every major port in the world.
