Hoy Skyline

Here they are again the lumbering cetaceans bobbling about on the horizon, surrounded by slow swirling purplish water.  More sun today but still the wind is being driven down from the polar ice fields.  Folk are making brave attempts to plant tatties, feed lambs, calf kye, clear ditches and smile

I had a police escorted emergency dash into Kirkwall today to the vets.  Bibs was hirpling very badly.  Jag administered, food dosed but still no improvement.  I wouldn’t wonder if she starts wearing an eye patch and goes into her Long John Silver.  Updates will be posted.

Today I have once more been left unattended.  CMC informed me I should sit in the south facing sunny porch and read some poetry; so I did.  We are truly blessed with a view like this.

Late in the day I nearly had to call the plumber again because I couldn’t get the mower started.  One oil change later etc and it’s starting first time.  I am now waiting for the grass to grow.
