Changeable.
A completely different day today. Spring seems to have left us and we decided not to go too far as we have done 3 days of considerable travelling and we need to be fresh for tonight.
My daughter is in The Producers tonight performed by BAOS at the Redgrave theatre in Clifton. She doesn't have a main role which is a change from the last 5 shows she has been in. Non the less we know it will be good especially as we know the two lead players (and we have seen it 3 times before!)
For reasons best know to his self, Chris declared he wanted to 'take a look at John Lewis'. We don't have one very near to us and Bristol has two; one in the city centre and one in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. The latter is where we went.
We also needed to return something for Grace to M&S which of course is right at the other end of the centre. So we had to walk from one end to the other and I have to say most of it was quite dispiriting. Am I alone in finding these places rather gloomy and uninspiring? With the exception of Lakeland there was no where we wanted to visit.
Anyway John Lewis was something else. Great kitchen section, have chosen my new kettle and dish draining rack but didn't get either. Also they have a haberdashery, yeah, so I did buy some buttons for a new knitting project, but Chris had spotted this in the basement.
The Pod.
He declared it rather splendid; seating up to 7 people; can be turned to face away from the wind and has a solar powered light! We didn't buy one of those either at £8,000 but as it was raining and chilly when we got outside, after three days of near summer, it's probably what every British garden needs in our changeable climate!
Have a good weekend blippers.
