New Life

I felt so lucky this morning to see this new born foal not long after he/she was born. It was struggling to get up on its spindly long legs . The mother and who I thought was maybe the dad were standing round about it as if to give the wee thing encouragement. The extra shows of a tender loving moment with foal and mother but unfortunately there were not a lot of moments like this. The foal kept going to her to be fed but she kept pushing him away and he would then go to the other horses trying to suckle from them but again he was pushed away it was heartbreaking to watch . I am sure the owners will come back and make sure everything is ok , lindsay and I are going to go back tonight to see that it is ok .
