T-235

Took a trip to the airport after work today to see what was about, caught this shot of T-235 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force departing from runway 12.  The Jan Scheffer sat on the apron for quite a while with her engines running before her departure.
 
Like her sister, Prins Bernhard on Sunday’s blip, she is a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30CF fitted as an Air to Air refuelling tanker.  At 40 years old she also flew for a number of commercial airlines until 1995 when she was converted to the Air Tanker role.
