Tretorn rubber boots

I work in a building called Tretorn which is named after a company that has been making rubber boots in Helsingborg since 1891. It is one of the more enduring success stories born from the late industrial revolution. This sculpture is based outside the Tretorn building and remembers the old way of making the first boots.

Today is the Queen's 90th birthday and also mine! It's been fairly uneventful but I had a nice dinner with a colleague in local tapas restaurant Can't wait to get home to my husband though. It's not the same having a birthday when you're away from your loved one. Not long to wait though - home tomorrow. :-)
