In a shady corner...

In a shady spot at the back of the garden these blue flowers mingle with the fresh green ferns whose leaves are just starting to unfurl.  I think of the new shoots on my clemetis have been killed by the frosts we have had the last week or so.  No doubt the cold weather that is about to arrive will further set back the plants which are just starting to show some buds.  Today however it has been sunny and 17 degrees.
