Entering Campbeltown Loch
I was in Kintyre all afternoon , making my way to Campbeltown for the evening hustings .
The weather was perfect - blue skies and great visibility. After a walk about meeting people in Tarbert along with members of the local branch we took the east road in order to call in on some of the villages which would otherwise not get visited during the campaign.
This picture was taken at the very end of that trip just as we drove down into Campbeltown. It shows a yacht entering the loch past the lighthouse on Davaar Island and with the Ayrshire coast in the background.
The journey home was even more spectacular, with a wonderful sunset beyond Gigha and Jura. My additional picture , taken from just by Glenbarr, gives a flavour of it but it was too amazing to be properly caught on camera without hours of work and we were all tired after a good, but long, campaigning day. I didn't get home until almost midnight.
