Olympic torch day in Medway

I read about this lady and her son who was injured in Iraq. She wasn't allowed to wear a Help For Heroes wristband because it was 'branding' so she dyed her hair red, white & blue instead. I wanted to be where she was running and luckily picked the exact spot where she started.

The sign in the background is quite interesting and Jack Denness is worth a google.

The torch continued towards Gravesend where a 17 year old was arrested after attempting to grab the torch from a startled young girl. I have a sneaky suspicion that he didn't think his plans through! Did he honestly think that he would be able to grab it and run without any of the police, security or the crowds stopping him? What a wally!
