Lunchtime accident

Lunchtime tragedy. Someone was hit by a bus, thankfully not fatal (when I posted this earlier on Facebook I thought it was fatal but got more info online) but the woman involved is in hospital in serious condition. 4 hours later the road is still closed and the bus still there surrounded by police. Thoughts are with her and her family. Hopefully she makes a recovery.

Thought twice about taking a photo and posting it but felt it important enough to take a shot and post as a reminder to my kids and others of the importance of the green cross code in the age of smartphones.

I'm guilty of looking at phone whilst crossing road myself (not sure if that's what happened in his case btw!) and this accident has reminded me that safely crossing the road is more important than reading whatever is on my iPhone.
