Today's the day ............................ to sun-bathe

We were indeed bathed in sun today - it felt really warm for the first time this year.

Unaccustomed as we are up in the far north of England to bare our flesh to the elements - you would have got quite sunburnt here today if you had.  Our newly planted herbaceous plants in the new border were wilting in the heat and needed copious water to revive them.  You could see the green leafy hands  of this beautiful horse-chestnut tree practically unfurl before your very eyes.

This is my kind of weather .......................
