Alnmouth Beach and Sky

We headed further down the coast today, to Warkworth.  We have been many times before and we always go to visit the castle – one of TT’s favourite castles!  Being the holidays it was busy, but there is lots to explore, and we took our lead from BB.  Once we had done the castle, we walked through the village and back round by the river.  I noticed that the daffodils by the castle weren’t yet out – probably too cold!

We then headed to Alnmouth, parked up by the beach and had a picnic lunch (in the car!).  We wrapped up and braced ourselves for a walk along the beach.  Amazingly it wasn’t as cold as we thought it was.  BB remembered that we had met up with friends who were holidaying here last year.  Alas they are in warmer climes this year!  We then headed back to our cottage and TT took us out for a pre-dinner walk – in the rain - to show us where he runs.  Thankfully the weather improved as we walked, and was glorious by the time we got back.

We treated ourselves to an Indian meal for tea – and it was delicious.
