Beykoz

This is a picture that I have taken in Beykoz, while we were having a breakfast. It was one of my multiple attempts to take a panorama, and it turned out really well! The view of the Bosphorus was absolutely perfect in from the point where we sat, so I decided to take a panorama of the whole view, from all the angles. I really love Beykoz, because in fact, there is a good view of Istanbul there. When you move towards Marmara, everything gets messier; there are more buildings, less green, more traffic and chaos.

In Beykoz, most of the trees and green hasn't been touched, and you can still sit down and eat your breakfast, enjoying the view and peace. You can't even see both of the bridges... You are THAT far away! However, if you look at the top of the picture and go left a little, you can still see the skyscrapers which are built in Levent, Istinye, etc. What people don't realize is, what we are doing to Istanbul, arguably the best city in the world, is permanent. We keep ruining this city everyday, and there isn't enough people to say "No!" The population keeps increasing, there is no regulations, more houses are being built and Istanbul gets more crowded and less green everyday.
