The Great Barrier Reef

Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, so as you can guess, we quickly signed up to do some snorkelling. The boat took about an hour to get to the reef, when we arrived we put on our stingray suits and jumped in to the warm water...Wow, is all I can say! It's another world beneath the depths of the water, the reef is absolutely breathtaking-the vivid coral is made up of the most unbelievably stunning colours. We were surrounded by luminous rainbow coloured fish and sea life. We also saw jellyfish in all shapes and sizes and a colossal sized clam, which didn't look too friendly...
We can't wait to explore more of the reef!
