Tom Horsfield Garden Centre, Silkstone
Our second garden centre visit of the morning. Our first was the Cannon Hall Garden Centre to buy compost and then we called here to buy nine cell seed trays. This is still a fairly traditional garden centre where they grow their own plants - not on a huge scale but sufficient to meet local demand. I bought a couple of Garden's Delight tomato plants, as although I've grown some Tigerella ( a seed present) and another (who's name has slipped from my memory ) I quite like small tomatoes and it certainly wasn't worth buying another pack of seeds. (I've come to the conclusion that you need a small seed sharing group to get the best value for money.)
