The Beech Avenue, Mote Park

A favourite locationof mine for a blip. In the summer there is dappled shade, in the autumn sunshine loads of bronze leaves and in the winter stark skeltal trunks and branches. We were on our way back from town having been to collect a large tin of wood preserver which was 1/2 price at Wilkies. Heavy to carry back in a rucksac though. A very pleasant spring day with the sun gaining a bit of strength and a soft fuzz of new growth on the beeches.

The spring theme continued in the afternoon when I had a marathon seed sowing session; beans of all sorts, cucumbers, squashes, courgettes, celeriac, cabbage, sprouts, lettuce and cavello nero. Tidied up and swept out the shed too.
