So incredibly hard for me to pick my favorite picture from this hike we took as a family last week. Perfect hike for Alex as it was FLAT (except for the 700 ft steep climb we unexpectedly had to take to get to the upper trail), had caves we could explore, massive concrete walls, waterfalls, SNOW in some parts, an old train caboose and tons of pinecones to throw at each other and over the edge. The best part of it was we felt like we were the only ones on the trail as we only ran into a handful of people in the 5+ hours we spend exploring. Alex would tell you his favorite part of the day was making scary videos of each other in the caves. Sadly, we ran out of daylight and had to leave more of the trail to explore for another day. Iron Goat trail is going down in the books as one of our all-time favorite family hikes.
