Brush Turkey

On a walk this morning from Clarkes Beach up towards the Cape Byron Lighthouse, I came across this Australian Brush Turkey (Alectura lathami) foraging in the leaf litter, which it was also spreading all over the place. This large black bird is very striking with its bare red head and bright yellow wattle.
