Above And Beyond...

Breisach

Just after 8am we docked at Breisach, Germany, a couple of hundred metres from this lovely picturesque medieval village. About 9am we set off for a coach tour of The Black Forest.

This afternoon, we walked into Breisach which is dominated by St Stephen's Cathedral, built between 12 and 15th centuries, on the hill overlooking the town. As we got to the town square I saw the Cathedral reflected in a large mirror for coach drivers to use. It caught it well and by magic some birds flew in to the frame to add to the composition.

Arriving back on board we spent a couple of hours on deck enjoying the sun with the Cathedral in full view. Views don't get better. It reminded me of the time we docked in San Francisco and had a maginificent view of Alcatraz - it seemed so close.

This evening is The Captains farewell dinner, as we disembark at Basel, Switzerland for the flight home. It's been an enjoyable week.

Don't forget that it's Wide Ange Wednesday tomorrow. Photo's taken on the day, of any subject, should be tagged 'widwed24'.
