What better way is there to start the day than with a boiled egg and soldiers?

I'm practicing cuisine photography at the moment ahead of our next camera club competition. I've been dropping hints to Mrs H to serve up some of her usual stunning looking dishes. Purely for photography purposes of course ;-)

I shot this with my adapted 55mm f/1.8 Takumar lens. An oldie but a goodie, I love it's colour rendition and swirly bokeh.
