Anniversary

57 years ago today I got engaged.  Have to confess I knew it was in April and which year but had completely forgotten the date.  Found some old diaries a couple of weeks ago and there the date was recorded.
Also in the box are my wedding ring and a ring my husband gave me for surviving 25years!
The engagement ring is worn thin (unlike the owner).  I no longer wear them because I come out in a rash with any metal.  Instead I have a blue onyx wedding ring replacement.  Gave my eldest  grandaughter the jewellery I can no longer wear but hanging on to these.
