Wild Flowers!

This field of buttercups are fenced in with a rather smart length of rope. I think is primarily to keep the cattle out as they are being moved from field to field, rather than keeping in the wild flowers!

Cycled up to the village this morning to get the weekly local paper and put a newly knitted pair of socks into the craft shop. The round trip is 10 miles, door to door, but it takes longer getting there than coming back because of the hills!

I love being out on the bike, which hasn't got a proper name yet, but watch this space! Just being out in the fresh air, with the wind in your hair and being able to smell the freshly cut fields and the meadowsweet in the roadside verges is wonderful. I am amazed that birds don't seem scared of you either. There were a row of three swallows on the fence and they didn't move until I tried to sneak my camera out and blip them!
