One drink, two straws please

Well what a day!!

We had an enjoyable night last night with youngest and DiL, woke up to glorious blue skies, although chilly. We were all up and out for 9.15 to drive to Cheshire for Isabella's christening day.

We arrived at the church in good time, not a soul in sight from our family nor DiLs side either......then great grandma arrived and we were told that Olivia hasn't been well. And that they were at the hospital with her!!

The service started, the other little boy was christened, during which time DiL arrived with Isabella and her other grandparents. Our middle son and Olivia, were following separately from the hospital......turns out Olivia has a viral infection and tonsillitis.......her beautiful little face was all puffy and pink, but despite this, she was still a little star.

Isabella was christened once her daddy had arrived, thankfully, and we all decamped to a local hostelry for refreshments.

We spent a lovely few hours and the girls all enjoyed themselves outside in the play area.
Nice food, a lovely cake, designed like a toy box with its lid lifted, with toy elephants and teddy bears peaking out, so cute! Hub enjoyed sampling a couple of whisky's with Isabella's other grandad ;-)

I took a lot of pictures and although it was Isabella's christening day, I just had to blip this photo of Paige and Olivia sharing a glass of blackcurrant juice sat up on their bar stools :-)

We got home late afternoon, hub cut the front lawn, whilst I removed pond weed, again!!! We went out for a quick walk, just to stretch our legs, then a late sandwich for tea whilst watching countryfile :-)

Allstate well, that ends well thank goodness!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on yesterday's blue skies...I didn't realise it was my 700th blip day either :-)
