Social Sofa

We did the trip back to Holland today to support son no 1 and his field hockey team who were playing a home game. We picked up son no 2 from the train station as he came over from Breda to support his brother too.
On the way from the train station in the car I spotted this Social Sofa, it's one of at least three mosaic public benches in Bergen op Zoom.  This one has a crab as largest decoration, Bergen op Zoom is called Krabbestad (CrabCity) at Carneval time.The Social Sofa project started in Tilburg as a project to decorate the town and get people to talk to each other when they share a seat on these benches. The one over here actually has a counterpart mosaic sofa on the opposite side of the street.
Son no 1's team lost :-( and son no 2 and we have returned to our homes :-) BTW, on the way back I captured the vintage wall advert for Virginia cigarettes with a blossoming tree on the street behind the station, see the extra. It looks like she is smoking a pink blossom! So today's Blip is all about street decorations.
