another great day beaching and hiking in grumari - out west from the city - and pedro do telegrafo, sadly resulting in my first sunburn incident in brazil :( my poor legs.

so nice to spend time at a clean, quiet beach - huge difference from rio's city beaches that are unfortunately litter prone with less than inviting waters, and crawling with sunbathers, especially at the weekend. you can see something of the city's pollution problem in this picture - the band of grey across the horizon.
