Hyacinthoides non-scripta
There are bluebells everywhere at the moment and many more getting ready to put in an appearance in the near future. Mr DawnAgain and I were feeling pretty tired all day due to a bad night with the dogs (one scratching, one having one of her nightmares) but as the weather was forecast to be so good we decided to go out for a bit of a ramble after we'd walked said dogs. And, actually, the dog walk itself was really nice, as we strolled along in the sun accompanied by the sound of cuckoo/s.
After a coffee and (in my case) a piece of fruit cake, we headed over to Burton Mill Pond. Having not been there before I quickly googled a walk and we headed off on a pleasant three-miler. Pleasant but at times a bit odd due to typos in the directions, eg, saying 'left' when it was obvious it should have said 'right' and 'several hundred years' rather than 'several hundred yards'. However, we successfully navigated our way round and arrived back at the car park although, also oddly, the walk didn't go anywhere near the pond itself and by the time we got back we were hungry so we decided the pond would have to wait for another day. And there was no sign of the promised cream teas at the mill itself so we went home for a cup of tea instead.
