What a day!

It started on the school run - we collected Smudge the kitten from one of Lily's class mate's mum. He is Bella's birthday present (by coincidence - we were getting him anyway) and at this point she did not know she was getting him today.

Ben whizzed Smudge home then came back for the Yr6 performance "School Daze". Bella had a starring role along with her best friend Becca, who is not going to the same secondary school, and her best buddy Will, who is! The whole of yr6 were involved and it was an excellent show that they put on.

A reasonably lazy afternoon followed before we left for Lily's special YrR assembly. It was just the reception class and the staff had organised a photo video of the children's year which was lovely. Then each child was presented with a folder of their "Learning Journey" and a certificate! The children then sang the Jubilee song "Sing" to us...

Bella was delighted when she got home - I think she suspected but played along. Meanwhile, as the sun was shining, Ben built the hammock for Ally's balcony...
