Bitter Pill

A road trip again to Fife for the Scottish Cup final today and a lot of excitement.  It sadly did not last long as Mimi despite being in electrifying form was told she would not start the other net minder getting the nod as he is Physically bigger and more intimidating.

The game was very competitive, from Mimi's point of view you could not have written the script, the starter not paying attention to the puck or the game it appreared when a long range dump in of the puck on the net actually went in as he stood and expected the Dman to deal with it, it really was a howler.

We soon leveled and settled down it it was fantastic end to end hockey really great to watch.  Then the controversy we scored a good goal that the referee chopped off claiming the net was off its mooring, he obviously does not know the rules the puck was in the net before the keeper put it off.  I guess these things happen but then we went to penalties and again our keeper was less than good and the home side took the win.

The twins could not even raise a smile which any of you who know them know it is so so unlike them.  I felt so so sorry for them they have worked so hard and had a great season but it finished on a very low low.

Onwards though, Mimi makes her Scotland debut this week so hopefully a better week ahaed
