Evening mountains, clouds, sky

A very productive day, had a good swim, attended a great brunch with my mom.  The speaker had been the landscape gardener for the White House in the Reagan years.  She gave a very interesting history of how the gardens had evolved from Washington to the present day.  So many interesting stories.  My favorite was about the seeds and history that are kept of all the planning.  Michele Obama's vegetable garden, which has 51 varieties, is planted from original seeds that were saved from years past vegetable gardens, which included both Roosevelt's wives' gardens and even President Wilson's wife.  What a great subject when everything here is beginning to bloom.
