Azalea - the ones that made it
So we had a hard freeze a week ago and all the azaleas that were blooming turned brown and the buds of most of them turned brown. But the white ones did not. So these are the only azaleas I'll have this year. They look nice in the setting sun.
Busy and productive day today. We took some boxes out of the attic this morning to sort. We had put them up there when we were doing some renovations (15 years ago) and had never gotten around to sorting them. It seems as though we should just be able to throw them away unopened - but I couldn't really do that. There were lots of boxes of clothes that were lost - too out of style now, and many ruined by the heat. But I found a box of old paper dolls (I did know they were up there) and a fossil (trilobite) and an oil lamp shaped like a dragon. They may be blip stars in the future.
Later we went to a party to celebrate some friends 50 wedding anniversary. I wonder if you become sweet to each other after 50 years, or do you have to start out that way to make it to 50? I hope that it is something I can work toward.
