Dutch fields
An early rise again this morning, today was the first Duke of Edinburgh's practice walk for new participants. We gathered at 9.30 am at Antwerp central station to go to Kalmthoutse Heide (the moor of Kalmthout). It is always such a pleasure to show students this area of natural beauty just north of Antwerp. They are always so surprised to see this as they generally only have seen Antwerp, Brussels and school in Belgium. Really proud of my students who all completed the 12 km hike, despite rain, cold wind and blisters.
We were back early afternoon (jey, all trains were running on time in contrast to last year). So after my girls came back from scouts/swimming we packed the car to drive to Goedereede. On the island you can find many fields of spring bulbs - so pretty, especially if you have the sky filled with blue and big clouds! Love Goeree!
Hope you can enjoy the rest of the weekend!
