Bondi for dogs.
The convent school had us all admiring their arts, crafts, poetry, recycling, model making, film reviews, cooking and so on and the boys looked proud to be students there. I took the chance to thank Bernat the Director for letting them take time out of school for the trip to Australia. I know that wouldn't be allowed in the UK, but he was glad to let them have such amazing experiences and I am very grateful to him and the teachers for their understanding and freedom within the system.
Meanwhile a little work was done (getting there.....) and then Little Agu had some money burning a hole in his pocket, so we crossed the great divide and headed for consumersville ToysRPlastic and came back with a load of lego. Cool. That plastic is ok I think (?) But I really do want to set up one of those mini plastic recycling centres I have seen recently.
Having paid for the tunnel and the petrol, it was worth a trip to Dog Beach (Cala Carnatge) and it didn't disappoint. Scooby had a ball.
A blue one. He burst it. Everyone on this beach laughs. There are no dog fights. There is no poo. The bigger dogs could get out in the surf and eventually our brave Scoobers got out there and was then dumped by a big wave. No problem. A Collie body surfed!
We didn't see many dog beaches in Oz, but maybe they have sharks to think about too....
