Writ in stone

While I've been away on a 24 hour shift, Gorgeous has been busy in the shed. Today he finished this memorial standing stone. I didn't want to show too much of it as it hasn't been handed over yet.

Once home I started to hoover the stairs in the annex which is still largely a building site. As soon as I started, I was wondering why I was hovering a threadbare 40yr old carpet and quickly decided to just rip it up. A satisfying task made all the more enjoyable by the presence of a cider chilling in the fridge for when I'd finished.
