Lone Hawthorn

I love this hawthorn on the edge of the beach at Sunny Cove, I love the way it has been shaped by the Atlantic gales, bent but still strong, it's roots must have a good hold in the rocks beneath. Blipped before by me, freespiral and earthdreamer when he visited!
I had a lovely walk with my daughter Rosie, who is back home for a couple of months this summer, the sun shone for a while, we saw seabirds, wild flowers and beautiful reflected clouds in the still sea. We didn't see the sea otter or the newly hatched cygnets, maybe next time.
An afternoon of stacking firewood and gardening!
