Go fish!

Mum booked a lodge at Centre Parcs up in Penrith a couple of months ago. It's not far from where my brother lives so perfect to grab his two young boys for the weekend, myself, Mia and her friends Anna have joined them too.

I love and hate Centre Parcs in equal measure. I love the properties all tucked away in the woods, love the pools for the kids to swim in but I don't like how eye wateringly expensive the activities are. And I don't like that there aren't any really nice places to hang out in with a book, to relax.

Saying this we always have a lovely time. This evening, after the girls had been for a swim whilst the boys explored the play areas, we settled down in our pyjamas to play cards.

At first James (8) and William (6) partnered up with the girls, both had us in tears. They had soon mastered the game enough to play their own hands. And they did brilliantly. Such funny boys.

Now I am sat in front of the fire, enjoying the peace and quiet.
