Sticky bud stage 2

Those very sticky buds have opened out on the horse chestnut tree!
Let's hope it will produce lots of shiny conkers in the autumn.
A busy morning/afternoon shopping in town - and a sandwich lunch out to keep us going!
This evening I was invited to a get-together for those of us who take an occasional service at church. It was held at the Rectory (beautiful garden) and turned out to be a lovely party with sparkling wine, a cheese board and many other delicious nibbles!
I didn't get home until almost 11pm!
