2016 Thursday -- Farmers Market
It has been a very windy blown-out day here. We walked to the beach lookout this morning and then on over to the public access stairs and walked onto the hard-packed sand. It was very cold and windy on the shore, so we didn't stay long before walking back to the house.
Then I fed the furry savages and Mr. Fun & I had a late breakfast of cold cereal before heading toward Morro Bay to do a little banking, a little shopping, and a tour of today's farmers market.
Today's farmers market soup was so delicious that we were home eating our evening meal at 3:30 -- snorting and being total piggys. Stephanie, the soup maker, dreamed about turmeric soup this past weekend, experimented with it Sunday, and wrote about it on her blog. Then she was at the Monday farmers market in Los Osos selling it!
She has certainly found her niche and is growing her business. She sells out almost every Monday, Thursday, and Friday. We're loving her soups, but also we are working at doing some cooking in our new kitchen.
Then we enjoyed the warmth of the front room as the sun warmed this house while the chilly wind continued outdoors.
At 6:45 this evening we walked once again to the beach lookout. We needed the exercize and so did the furry savages. We found the shore drenched with high tide.
This has been a full Thursday,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
