After my physio session tonight, I'll join Julie in the very heart of Paris where she has a cultural errand to run. We'll go to the cinema to watch "The sociologist and the bear cub", a documentary film about a French sociologist, filmed by her son, and in which a lot of the scenes are "acted" by soft toys, including several teddy bears... Should be very nice!
Then, probably, dinner before we go back home.
Tomorrow, we'll be visiting a "plants and gardens" exhibition in a nearby village. On Sunday, we'll drive to La Loupe where my approaching exhibition will take place, to deliver the framed pictures so they can hang them up.
All in all, this should be a really fine weekend.
Just a few more photos in flickr, including the colour version of this one.
And two new poems:
One word
I am a survivor
I’ve come a long way to tell you this
To whisper in your ear that nothing can defeat me
Except a word from you
Twelve years on
Twelve years on – still we’re at the dawn
Of our great love – The battles fought
Made us stronger.
I envision a sea of doves –
What lives beneath the fluttering
Of their white wings?
Nature's sacred energy flows
As an undercurrent of joy
Sustaining them.
The waves of the mighty ocean
Carry us on their moving backs –
In our bellies
The fluttering of the light wings
Tickles, stirs and proves constantly
Our desire.
Our bed is that sea of white doves
The rhythms of our lovemaking
That flow of joy
Our breaths entwined, our bodies one
We make our dear small world anew
Every time
