Photo walk

Today (i.e. Thursday, still backblipping) I spent the morning on a photo walk around Peyriac de Mer, organised by a  local photography group I've joined on Facebook -- I am gradually conceding that Facebook does have some benefits. It was a  gorgeous day, and 10 of us went on a walk in the rosemary-scented hills above Peyriac, with lovely views over the lagoons. Back in the village eight of us had lunch at a table outside the popular and very busy restaurant in Peyriac's lovely village square. It was a really pleasant and relaxing morning.

This is allegedly a watchtower dating to World War I. It certainly commands beautiful and far-reaching views, but I'm finding it hard to believe it was necessary to look out for invading hordes wading through the mud of the lagoon. Still, it makes a good subject for Derelict Sunday, and it also gave me a chance to play with SilverEfexPro (colour original here). Blip alternatives: some shadows, and pretty but unidentified flowers.

Back home, I had a brief siesta and a bite to eat, and then it was time to go out  to the mammoth final choir rehearsal -- left the house at 7, got home after midnight. Exhausted. And tomorrow it's for real with the first concert.
