#Glasgow - Western Infirmary
A rather uninspiring set of 60s/70s buildings in the West End. The building in the foreground is the Western which was one of the first places I worked when I first moved through to Glasgow from Edinburgh in the early 90s. The hospital is now closed and most of it will be demolished. I have some good (and bad) memories of this place - so forgive me the nostalgia. I only took this as I happened to be in Yorkhill Hospital (also now closed), and this was an unusual view of WIG. The other hideous tall building in the background is the University's Boyd Orr building, which should also be demolished as a crime against architecture.
